MOVEMENT & CHRONIC PAIN

Keep moving!

Many times the first thing we do after an injury is to stop the movement and brace that part of body in pain. It is important to know that many joints like shoulder can become stiff and more painful if braced for a long time. While avoiding mobility may be helpful at early stages of an injury, early mobility is very important to regain the force of muscles and preventing long term stiffness. 

Please remember that both stopping mobility and start of mobility should be done by physician guidance.
